Tales From The Graveyard Shift: Ghouls

“You’re a civilian. We can’t take you on a crime scene.” Brian seriously thought that would stop an Eight?

“Brian, I appreciate your concern, but this may be Lothar’s doing. I need to come with you.”

Ulrich touched Brian’s arm. I saw Brian take a deep breath and I’ll be damned if another vision didn’t hit me. This time I knew it came from Brian. He stared at Ulrich’s hand on his arm and thought about kissing Ulrich. Then he dragged me into the mix, again.

Suddenly I stood with my back to Ulrich and his hands were holding up my breasts. Brian played with my nipples, pinching and tugging on them as he kissed Ulrich. I shook my head and clapped my hands together.

“Snap out of it!” Both men jerked and stared at me. “Look, we can all play naked in the sandbox some other time. Right now, let’s just go figure out if that damned Level Eight is behind these zombies so I can prepare my team.”

Ulrich laughed and Brian stared at me for a moment before he too started laughing. “Naked in a sandbox? Crys, that’s crazy.”

“Oh yeah? You’re the one sending images of the three of us getting up close and personal. I didn’t know you were into that, Brian.” I knew it was a mistake as soon as I finished talking. Brian shut down, his laughter dying and the silence causing me to take a deep breath. “Brian.”

“Don’t say it. You don’t know much about what I’m into, Crys. You never really asked.” He put his hand on the door handle and this time Ulrich stopped him.

“Children, do not fight.. All three of us now are thinking of being together. I see no problem with this. Attraction is normal and the closer we all are, the better our chances against someone like Lothar. Our powers will join together and give us a better chance of defeating him. I, for one, have no problem in being with both of you.

Crystal will augment my power and yours, Brian. With her assistance, there is no doubt we can strip Lothar of his powers.” Ulrich stared first at Brian, who had a dull red color high on his cheekbones and fire in his green eyes, then at me. I knew my face had to be red, too.

“Quite honestly, neither do I, but it’s not something I’ve ever done before, so you guys will have to be patient with me.” I hoped that would let Brian know I was sorry for what I’d said earlier. I didn’t mean to lash out at him, I was just freaked out.
